Jennifer Ciochon is a freelance photographer based in Istanbul, Turkey. She also serves as the Director of Photography for GIRLWITHABOOK Movement, a media non-profit that seeks to raise awareness about the barriers girls face when going to school. GIRLWITHABOOK has completed filming its multimedia documentary project in Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, India and Nepal, and now is currently in post-production. She has had work published with AJE, TRT World, Huck Magazine, and Narratively. She has also worked with aid agencies such as Caritas Germany in Jordan and Oxfam in Tunisia. 

Prior to GIRLWITHABOOK, she was based in Tunisia and was the editor and photographer for Tunisia Live, an English news website.

Jennifer received her MA in International Journalism from City University in London, as well as an MA in Islamic Societies and Cultures from the School of Oriental and African Studies. In addition to Tunisia, Jennifer has lived in Switzerland, US, Egypt, India and the UK.
